Most modern windshield adhesives reach a safe drive-away strength in a defined window after installation. Exact timing depends on the adhesive used, temperature, humidity, and vehicle requirements.

At Summit, we explain your specific drive-away time before we leave the job. In many cases customers can drive the same day, but you should still avoid slamming doors, high-pressure car washes, and unnecessary stress on the fresh urethane bond until it has cured.

If your vehicle has a forward-facing camera or other ADAS features that rely on the windshield, calibration may also be part of returning the vehicle to full readiness. Ask us to confirm whether your car, truck, or SUV needs static or dynamic calibration after the install.
